I have this problem in my computer, it shuts down automatically saying there is a potential problem. I believe it is from the internet, but I really am not sure.so I want to get rid of virii, spyware and adware, just to make sure.

   try avg free edition.

   Get kaspersky and do a full system scan. Or if you don’t want to do a free online scan from kaspersky and delete the files it names. But that won’t work because some viruses only attach themselves to parts of the real file. Or you can just back up everything and do a system restore.

   I’m satisfied with Spyware Doctor and Ad-aware. The second is freeware.

   Hello !
   You’re maybe infected by Blaster Virus.
   To cancel the auto-shutdown : Start > Run
   shutdown.exe -a
   After, install a trial version of Kaspersky.

   i was also having the same problem

   there is no other way except this

   1.delete the whole partion while reinstalling the windows

   2.after installing windows ,install avg free edition

   3.then install ’spybot’ search and destroy

   4.after installing spybot open spybot click on the option immunize

   5.after that u would not face viruses

   hey dont forget to update these softwares

   I have used AVG Anti Virus, Zone Alarm Firewall, Spy-bot Search and Destroy and Ad Aware both spyware killers for years. They are all free for personal use and I have had no trouble with Viruses Trojans etc. AVG does not slow the system down as much as some other products and Zone Alarm allows a lot of personal configuration unlike the Windows Firewall. They can all be downloaded from the following. On the home page select downloads and then the appropriate category.I also use Windows Defender from the Microsoft site. It is safe to use two anti-spy products but never use more than one A/V as it can cause conflicts. You should run A/V and anti spy weekly. Hope this helps

   Run your anti-spyware in Safe Mode.If you dont have an excellent anti-spyware or your current anti-spyware can’t prevent spyware from Invading you computer,download a better one.

   You can download and scan your computer for free.

   As the computer is booting press your “F8 Key” repeatly which should bring up the “Windows Advanced Options Menu” . Use your arrow keys to move to “Safe Mode” and press your Enter key.

   After into safe mode,run an anti-spyware to remove the spyware and adware on you computer.

   Make sure you have 1 or 2 antispyware on your computer and 1 antivirus and also 1 firewall.
